We are a multi-disciplinary, out-patient Mental Health clinic embedded within the MGH-Chelsea Health Care Center. Our staff is committed to quality, effective treatment models of care. Our patient care is delivered in our out-patient clinic setting, school based care and as part of integrated care with Primary Care Clinics. The Chelsea Behavioral Health Clinic provides services to the Primary Care patients at the Chelsea Health Center. Our population is comprised of an inner city population of many refugees, immigrants as well as the many generations of families that have remained here in Chelsea. Chelsea is a densely populated city with more than 35,000 residents and more than 20 languages spoken.
CLINICAL PROGRAM: Our clinic provides individual, family and group therapy; psychopharmacology, psychological testing; concrete services to the patients of the Health Center. Additionally we have several specialty programs focusing on the care of Refugees, Children Exposed to Violence; and Trauma Treatment.
TRAINING: We also have a teaching and training program for Psychiatry Residents; Psychology Interns and Social Work Interns.
