The Mental Health Department at Revere HealthCare Center services patients with a variety of disorders including depression, anxiety and other sources of stress in their lives. The department is made up of a combination of psychiatrists, social workers and psychologists who work together as a multidisciplinary team. They help families and individuals cope with stress and live better, healthier lives.

Our Approach

The Center for Community Health Improvement (CCHI) builds on Mass General’s long-term commitment to its health center communities in Revere, Chelsea and Charlestown. Today CCHI has more than 35 partnerships and programs that aim to:

  • Prevent and reduce substance use
  • Increase opportunities for Boston students
  • Interrupt the cycle of family and community violence
  • Eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in health care
  • Improve access to care for vulnerable populations
  • Learn More Mental Health Services in Revere

Our Clinical Programs

Referrals to our clinic are generally made by primary care physicians. We serve a very diverse population that includes patients of Cambodian, Arabic, Hispanic and Vietnamese descent. We provide services for patients with a variety of mental health challenges, including:

  • Mood disorders
  • Anxiety disorders
  • PTSD
  • Personality disorders

A number of the clinic’s social workers, who are directly connected with its OB/GYN department, work with pregnant teens on site at the Revere public schools.

The Mental Health Department also offers a variety of therapy groups, including:

  • Mind/Body Group for Depression

Professional Training

The Mental Health Department at the Revere HealthCare Center serves as a training site for residents from the Department of Psychiatry at Mass General.
