The National Research Corporation (NRC) recently announced that consumers chose the MGH as the hospital with the highest quality and image in the Boston area. The MGH was one of 122 hospitals to be honored with a Consumer Choice Award. For five years, NRC, a health care performance measurement organization, has recognized the most preferred hospitals in various metropolitan areas, based on a study of more than 160,000 households representing more than 400,000 consumers in the United States. The winners of the award were announced in the Oct. 23 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine.
