Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration
MGH employees and staff are invited to "A Celebration of the Legacy of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.," Jan. 24, from 3 to 4 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. The honorable John Lewis — a congressman from Georgia, civil rights activist and advocate of nonviolence — will speak at the event. Admission is free, and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Lewis' book, Walking with the Wind: A Memoir of the Movement, will be available for sale outside the O'Keeffe Auditorium before and after the event and outside the Trustees Room during the reception following the event. For more information, call (617) 724-0928.

Blood donations needed
Because of an increased need for blood components, the MGH Blood Donor Center would like to encourage MGHers to donate blood. The Blood Donor Center is located on the main campus near the Gray Lobby. Blood donations are at an all-time low, and there is an urgent need for donations. To make an appointment, call (617) 726-8177.
