Do you know me?

For the past 18 months, members of the Ladies Visiting Committee (LVC) have been canvassing the hospital in search of artifacts. Not just any artifacts, but those arts and antiquities that are relevant to the history of the MGH. These items include portraits, sculptures, medical instruments and books that are scattered throughout the many offices, nooks and crannies in the hospital. It is expected that an inventory of these items will be created to give the hospital a current list of these and other treasures.

In looking through some stored items, members of the LVC came across an unidentified portrait (see photo right). The artist did not sign the painting.
