  Angel Flight NE is a nonprofit organization that provides free air transportation in private aircraft to ambulatory patients across the Northeast.

• Re-enactment for mural brings Ether Day 1846 to life
  Imagination melded with realism in a medical drama that played out at the MGH Jan. 30 to prepare for a mural that will be painted in the Ether Dome. MGH service chiefs turned actors, a portrait painter turned director, and ghosts from 154 years earlier sprang to life.

• MGH gives back to employee blood donors
  MGH employees who donate blood to the MGH Blood Donor Center now will have another recognition gift to choose from when they make their donations -- free parking.

• New incoming chief of Neurosurgery
  Robert Martuza, MD, has been named chief of Neurosurgery at the MGH, succeeding Nicholas Zervas, MD, who has served as chief of the service since 1977.
