Sandy Spierdowis (center), and Kathleen Weaver, both of Foxboro, present handmade blankets to Tony Costello, 12, a patient at the MassGeneral Hospital for Children. Spierdowis and Weaver are members of the Massachusetts chapter of Project Linus, a group that makes blankets and delivers them to children at four Boston-area hospitals. Project Linus is named for the late Charles Schultz's character, Linus, who was known for toting around his security blanket. Schultz died Feb. 12.
