Bikers rev up their engines for the MGH Burn Unit

Approximately 350 motorcycle riders journeyed from Quincy to Plymouth recently to raise money for the MGH Burn Unit in memory of fellow biker Joseph Conti, Jr. The bikers raised $5,320 for the Joseph Conti Memorial Fund.

Last year, Conti was involved in a fire at his workplace, where he was deemed a hero by co-workers for his efforts to help stop the fire and save other employees. Conti suffered severe burns and was treated at the MGH Burn Unit before he died.

As a tribute to his heroic efforts, Conti's friends and family established the memorial fund in his name to raise money for the MGH Burn Unit and other programs that were important to Conti. To date, the MGH Burn Unit has received a total of $8,711 in memory of Conti.
