Public parking rate
increase
The public parking rates for the Fruit and Parkman
Street garages will be increased in March to $5 for one hour up to $30 for a 24-hour
period. The increase will not affect patient, visitor or employee rates. The increase in
public parking rates deters the general public from using MGH garages and helps save space
for MGH patients and their visitors. All patients and their visitors will need to have
their parking tickets validated to get reduced rates. Validation is available only for
patients and their visitors and not available for employees, contractors or other guests
at the hospital. Patients and visitors requiring validation must go to the MGH Validation
Desk, Main Lobby, 8 am to 8 pm; the MGH Parking Office, ground level, Fruit Street Garage,
between 7 am and 5 pm; or the White Information Desk, after 8 pm. Any questions can be
directed to the Parking Office at 6-8886.
