Tropical
rhythms transport MGHers to warmer climates
The
Eat Street Café and the Tea Leaves and Coffee Beans café
were transformed into tropical getaways Feb. 28, as the sounds of three
live steel-drum bands transported employees, patients and visitors to
warmer climates. At Tea Leaves and Coffee Beans, Michael "Toby"
Tobas' performance provided a lunchtime escape, while the DishNDat band
in the Eat Street Café treated lunchtime patrons to fun and invigorating
tunes. The Volume Two Steel Band kept the tropical atmosphere alive with
a nighttime performance in the Eat Street Café A special tropical
punch, palm tree decorations and a Caribbean cuisine menu completed the
look and feel of a tropical island oasis.
