Ethics forum
An ethics forum entitled "Advance Directives: True Life Stories" will be held March 14, from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the Sweet Conference Room on Bigelow 4, room 432. A discussion will follow. Beverages and dessert will be served. For more information, send e-mail to mwise@partners.org.

EAP seminar
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will offer the seminar "Strategizing Your Financial Plan" March 13, from noon to 1 pm in the Wellman Conference Room. Tips for prioritizing goals and identifying available funds for investments will be offered. For more information, call the EAP at (617) 726-6976.

Spanish for health care
Registration for spring Spanish classes will take place March 13 and 14, from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm outside the East Garden Room across from the Eat Street Cafe. Beginner 2 and 3 and Intermediate 3 classes will be offered. The cost is $50 for 10 weeks and must be paid by check or money order at registration. Wellman Labs symposium

HMS 2003 Dean's Community Service Award
Nominations now are being accepted for the fifth annual Harvard Medical School/Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HMS/HSDM) Dean's Community Service Award. Emphasizing community service as an integral part of the HMS and HSDM mission, the award recognizes and encourages participation in community service activities and programs. The deadline to nominate a faculty member, resident or student is March 31. An awardee's community service program will receive $1,000. Faculty seminar series
The Department of Medicine Academic Council will present a faculty seminar entitled, "What and When to Publish" March 17, from 4 to 5:30 pm in the Ether Dome. The discussion will include timing of publications, journal considerations, authorship, data ownership, independent publications and publicizing data. Registration is not necessary. Spring 2003 schedule for computer training
Partners Information Systems Training now is offering the spring computer workshop training schedule for Microsoft Office 2000 applications. All classes will be using version 2000. Partners International Office tax session
The Partners International Office is offering a tax information session for international employees March 24, from 9 am to noon in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Friends Fighting Breast Cancer dinner dance
The sixth annual Friends Fighting Breast Cancer gala dinner dance in honor of Janet Connolly O'Neill, the group's co-founder, will be held March 15 at the Boston Copley Marriott Hotel. Tickets are $75 per person. All money from ticket sales will benefit ongoing breast cancer research at the MGH.
