Senior HealthWISE seminar
The MGH Senior HealthWISE program will offer "Have You Wondered about Complementary and Alternative Medicine?" March 16, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott Conference Rooms. Catherine Carlo, MSW, and Debbie Essig, MSW, LICSW, both of MGH Social Services, will discuss what complementary and alternative medicines are, who is using them, ways to get more information and relaxation exercises. EAP work/life seminar
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will offer a Work/Life seminar "Anger Management" March 18, from noon to 1 pm in the Wellman Conference Room. Thilo Deckersbach, PhD, of MGH Psychiatry, will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of anger problems. For more information, call the EAP at (617) 726-6976 or visit www.eap.partners.org.

CNY blood drive
MGH employees working at CNY are invited to participate in a blood drive March 24, from 8:30 am to 2 pm. The MGH Bloodmobile will be located on Thirteenth Street between Building 149 and the parking garage. Colorectal Cancer Awareness Day
The MGH Cancer Center will observe Colorectal Cancer Awareness Day March 24. An information table will be set up in the Main Corridor from 10 am to 2 pm. Information regarding early detection and prevention of colorectal cancer will be

HOPES seminars
The MGH HOPES (Helping Our Patients and Families through Education and Support) program will offer several seminars and support groups in March. A
support group "Parenting with Cancer" will be held March 16, from 11 am to noon, led by Paula Rauch, MD, and Nina Muriel, MD, both MGH child psychiatrists, and Steve Durant, EdD, an MGH child psychologist. Elizabeth Cook, an expressive arts therapist, will present "Art and Healing" March 16, from 1 to 2 pm. Oncology
pharmacists and nurses will present "Chemotherapy ... What You Should Know" March 17, from noon to 1 pm. Suzanne Landry, MS, RD, LDN, of MGH Nutrition and Food Services, will present "Nutrition and Wellness" March 19, from 2 to 3 pm. Marilyn Brier, of MGH Social Services, will present "My Life After Treatment ... What's Next?" March 19, from noon to 1 pm. All events will be held in the Cancer Resource Room on Cox 1. Seminars and drop-in support groups are free, and no prior registration is required.
