Honoring
a generous life
At a recent ceremony held at Mass General West, trustees, staff and friends
of the MGH Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service honored the generosity
of Joy Kimball, who was a volunteer at both the Vincent Memorial Hospital
and the MGH. Kimball spent much of her life in service to the hospital
as a member of the Vincent Board of Managers, the MGH Ladies Visiting
Committee and the Vincent Club. Yet her greatest gift came after her death:
a substantial bequest — the largest ever received by the Vincent.
From
left, F. Gardner Jackson, Jr., chairman of the Board of the Vincent Memorial
Hospital; Anne Wynne-Willson, member of the Vincent Board of Managers;
and Isaac Schiff, MD, chief of the MGH Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology
Service at the celebration.
