George Alleyne, an employee in the MGH Environmental Services Department who retired in November, died Jan. 22 after a brief illness. He was 83. During his 20-year career at the MGH, Alleyne helped to maintain the Ellison, Baker, Founders House and Gray elevators. He also assisted in coordinating the openings of new patient floors throughout the 1980s.

A memorial service will be held March 28, 2 pm in the MGH Chapel. All MGH employees, friends and family are invited to attend.
