Elliott V. Miller, MD, of MGH Anesthesiology, recently was awarded the Citation of Merit, the highest recognition of achievement among colleagues in the Academy of Anesthesiology. "I was speechless," says Miller. "I was so surprised that my wife had to tell me three times to go up to the podium and accept the award." This international award honors Miller for his dedicated leadership in the field of anesthesiology, including his role as the 1988 president of the Academy of Anesthesiology.
