Happening Faculty
Development Series presentation
The Faculty Development Committee of the MGH Department of Medicine will
sponsor a seminar series for junior faculty and fellows. "Academic
Advancement and Promotion" will be held April 9, from 4:30 to 6 pm
in the Wellman Conference Room. "How to Write a Grant —
Junior Faculty" will be held April 17, from 4 to 5:30 pm in the Ether
Dome. "How to Write A Grant — Fellows and Beginning Scientists"
will be held May 14, from 4:30 to 6 pm in the Wellman Conference Room.

Eldercare fair
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will sponsor an eldercare fair April 12, from
11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Wellman Conference Room. The program will offer information
about services for elders and their families, and representatives from area agencies and
providers will be on hand to answer questions. For more information, contact the EAP at

Ethics Task Force forum
The MGH Ethics Task Force will sponsor a forum called "The Impact of Religion on
End-of-Life Decisions," April 11, from 5 to 6 pm in the Walcott Conference Room, WACC
2. The forum will be moderated by David Todres, MD, of MGH Anesthesia, and panelists will
include several representatives from the MGH Chaplaincy. Refreshments will be offered

Spring computer workshop
Partners Information Systems Training will hold a series of computer workshops
on Microsoft Office applications. All classes will be held at Partners
Corporate Training, 185 Charles River Plaza. For a complete list of workshops

Holy Week and Passover services
MGH Chaplaincy will hold several services in observance of Holy Week, Passover and Easter.
Passover programs will be broadcast on Channel 16 at 5 pm on April 6, 7 and 8. On April 8,
palms will be distributed in all inpatient units and at the 4 pm Roman Catholic Mass. An
Ecumenical prayer service in observance of Holy Thursday will be held April 12 at 12:15
pm, and a Roman Catholic Mass of the Last Supper will be held at 4 pm. On April 13, a Good
Friday Ecumenical service will be held at 12:15, and a Roman Catholic Passion of the Lord
and Holy Communion service will be held at 4 pm. A Roman Catholic Easter Vigil Mass will
be held April 14 at 7 pm. On April 15, an Easter Sunday Episcopal Communion service will
be held at 1:30 pm, and a Roman Catholic Easter Sunday Mass will be held at 4 pm. All
services will take place in the MGH Chapel. For more information, contact the MGH
