  • New Durant Fellows named
    Grace Deveney, RN, staff nurse on Bigelow 11, and Katie Fallon, RN, staff nurse on Ellison 20, recently were named the two newest recipients of the Thomas S. Durant, MD, Fellowship in Refugee Medicine.
  • A visit from champions
    Not only are they world champions, but they are champions in the hearts and minds of young patients and MGH employees alike. These champions are two members of the New England Patriots — this year's Super Bowl winners — who brought warm smiles and loud cheers to the MGH when they stopped by for a visit April 13.
  • Studies clarify impact of foods, alcohol on gout
    For hundreds of years the painful joint malady gout has been associated with overindulgence in rich food and drink. Now two studies led by an MGH researcher have clarified the impact of foods and alcoholic beverages on gout, the most common form of inflammatory arthritis in men.
  • Author Sue Miller to read
    Sue Miller, best selling author of The Good Mother and While I Was Gone, will give a reading from her latest book, The Story of My Father, which recounts the author's experience as a caregiver for her father who had Alzheimer's.
