Pediatric
patients — queens for a day
Patients
of MassGeneral Hospital for Children were treated like royalty April 11,
as students from the Wheaton College chapter of "Queen for a Day"
pampered the patients from head to toe in the Ellison 17 playroom.
Current and former young female patients were treated to manicures and
makeup, then dressed up and modeled their queenly attire. The girls also
designed their own personal page in a photo album that will be added to
the chapters' collection. The crowning moment for each girl was donning
a tiara and a robe and walking down the carpet to her throne as her admirers
cheered and took pictures.
Queen for a Day is a national, nonprofit organization designed to raise
the self-esteem and self-confidence of girls coping with serious illness.
