Joop M. Grevelink, MD, PhD, of MGH Dermatology, was elected program chairman for the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine during the organization's annual meeting in New Orleans.

Several MGH Echo Lab physicians recently received recognition from the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). Eric Isselbacher, MD, received the W. Proctor Harvey Young Teacher Award of the ACC. Arthur Weyman, MD, was presented with the ACC Gifted Teacher Award. Danita Yoerger, MD, and Ronen Beeri, MD, received two of the three fellowship grants awarded by the ASE. Marielle Scherrer-Crosbie, MD, and Judy Hung, MD, were chosen as finalists for the ASE Young Investigator Award.

Nancy A. Rigotti, MD, of MGH Women's Health Associates and director of the MGH Tobacco Research and Treatment Center, was selected as the moderator of Harvard University's Institute of Politics (IOP) Forum at the John F. Kennedy School of Government April 16.
