MGH spine tumor lecture The MGH Spine Tumor Center hosted the first Brian D. Silber Lectureship April 5, featuring guest speaker Fred J. Epstien, MD, founding director of the Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. The lecture was sponsored by the Brian D. Silber Memorial Fund, established in memory of Brian Silber, who died in 1996 at the age of 28 after a three-year battle with spinal cord cancer. The Silber Memorial Fund is supported by the annual Brian D. Silber Golf Tournament, which will be taking place this year at the Colonial Golf Club in Lynnfield July 18.
