  • Molecule may be key in pheromone processing
    A research team at the MGH and Harvard University has identified a molecule that may be key to the process by which the chemical signals called pheromones are turned into nerve impulses travelling to the brain in rodents.
  • Nursing care celebrated at the MGH
    Over the past week, the MGH has celebrated the many accomplishments of the hospital's nursing staff with a series of seminars and events focusing on this year's Nurse Recognition Week theme — MGH Nurses: Leaders and Legends.
  • Women in leadership at the MGH
    In 1972, Jane Claflin, then a longtime member of the Ladies Visiting Committee, became one of the first female members of the MGH's Board of Trustees. At that time, the board looked like many other boards in the country; most of the members were businessmen, most of them working outside of the medical field.
  • Life beyond cancer treatment
    Gail Harris, television journalist and creator of Body & Soul, a new 13-week PBS series about holistic health and spirituality, moderated the third annual conference for cancer patients, survivors, their families, partners and friends May 8 at the MGH.
  • Partners town meeting at the MGH
    Samuel O. Thier, MD, president and CEO of Partners, will discuss a variety of topics related to Partners and will answer employee questions at a Partners Town Meeting May 17, 10 to 11 am, in the O'Keeffe Auditorium.
