Helping children with autism

MassGeneral Hospital for Children and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital recently co-hosted an open house for a pediatric program to help children with pervasive developmental disorder, autism and other related learning and developmental disorders. The program, called LADDERS (Learning And Developmental Disabilities Evaluation and Rehabilitation Services), was founded in 1981 by pediatric neurologist and researcher Margaret Bauman, MD. The program became affiliated with the pediatric services at the MGH in 1997.

Located in Wellesley, the newly renovated and expanded center is custom designed to accommodate children of all ages and abilities. For more information about LADDERS, call (781) 431-9144.
