  • Claflin Awards support career advancement for women faculty
    Medical research can be a demanding career for anyone, but for women faculty the demand can be especially challenging when combined with the role of motherhood. In recognition of the obstacles women researchers face during their child-rearing years, the MGH has developed a variety of resources among them the annual Claflin Awards, facilitated by the MGH Office for Women's Careers.
  • Exceptional minority residents "match" at the MGH like never before
    Every spring, excitement builds for medical students around the country as they prepare for Match Day when they receive news of their residency appointments at academic medical centers. This year, Match Day brought particularly good news for the MGH — the total number of underrepresented minority trainees who "matched" at the MGH substantially increased from previous years.
  • Contact center team picks up the PACE
    The contact center team for the Patient Administrative Cycle Enhancements (PACE) project has been working diligently to make recommendations for the new PACE contact center, which is one of the new enhancements for the hospitalwide patient administration project.
  • Reception honors women faculty at the MGH
    The MGH Office for Women's Careers (OWC) hosted its fifth annual women faculty reception May 23 in the Trustees Room. The event is meant to honor women faculty who have made significant career accomplishments throughout the year. The attendees were treated to an afternoon of food, beverages, the company of colleagues and celebratory remarks from MGH leaders.
  • Cool treats thanks to MGH bikers
    For the fourth year, MGHers who participated in the Boston Bike-to-Work Day Corporate Challenge have made it possible for all hospital employees to enjoy a midsummer ice cream treat.
