    In an effort to increase awareness and share information about needlestick safety, the Needlestick Reduction Task Force is sponsoring an employee contest.

    The following questions were submitted through Hotline for the Partners Town Meeting held at the MGH June 6. Jeanette Ives Erickson, RN, MS, senior vice president for Patient Care Services and chief nurse, and Greg Doyle, director of Buildings and Grounds, provided the responses below.
  • MGH Psychiatry hosts Patient and Family Day
    Mental health disorders, such as depression or anxiety, sometimes are misunderstood by the general public. Answers to common questions about such conditions were given at a special Patient and Family Day, hosted June 10 by the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Institute (MADI) of the MGH Psychiatry Department.
  • New urological procedure makes strides to help women
    Urinary incontinence affects approximately 60 percent of women older than 60 years of age - and yet, it often is shrouded by a sense of silence and shame. Thanks to an innovative procedure offered at the MGH, however, an increasing number of women are able to confront their incontinence and find a lasting, convenient remedy.
