MGH Community Benefit Program fifth anniversary
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy will deliver the keynote address at the MGH Community Benefit Program's fifth anniversary celebration June 19 under the Bulfinch Tent, beginning at 11 am. Other speakers will include James. J. Mongan, MD, president of the MGH, and patients and community representatives who have benefited or participated in some of the programs. MGPO quarterly meeting
All physicians and staff are invited to the MGPO quarterly meeting June 21, 5 to 6:30 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium.

HOPES seminars
The MGH Cancer Center HOPES program (Helping Our Patients/ Families through Education and Support) presents educational seminars for patients, families and MGHers. "Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant: A Discussion," facilitated by Cathleen Poliquin, NP, MSN, of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, will be offered June 19. "Painful Anniversaries: Death's Legacy," facilitated by Michael McElhinny, MDiv, of the MGH Chaplaincy, will be offered June 20. All seminars are held from noon to 1 pm in the Cancer Resource Room, Cox 1. For more information, call 4-1822.

Operations Support Staff Day
Operations Support Staff Day will be celebrated June 22 with a luncheon under the Bulfinch Tent, 11:30 am to 2 pm, for employees in operations support departments. There also will be a recognition dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 pm under the Bulfinch Tent. Operations support staff on the midnight to 8 am shift will have a boxed dinner provided at 2 am. Lunches, dinners and boxed dinners require invitations that have been distributed to each department. A raffle will be held with a variety of prizes donated. Raffle entries may be submitted with invitations and brought to the celebrations.

MGH wins Bike to Work Corporate Challenge
The MGH has once again won the "Bike to Work Corporate Challenge" for having the most employees who bike to work of any Boston employer. In recognition of this achievement, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream will serve free ice cream to all MGH employees on the Bulfinch Lawn, June 23, noon to 1:30 pm. The bicyclists who participated may come at 11:30 am with their employee ID badges to eliminate having to wait in line.
