Vincent Club singers to perform
The Vincent Club singers will perform for the MGH community
July 9 from 5:30 to 6 pm in the Main Lobby near Coffee Central. Patients,
family members and staff are invited to attend.
MGH Family Care program
MGH Social Services will host an information table about the MGH Family
Care Program July 10, from 7 am to 3 pm in the Eat Street Cafe entrance.
The Family Care Program offers disabled adults who cannot live alone the
opportunity to remain in the community and live with a family. Information
packets will be offered, and staff will be available to answer questions.
Bone marrow donor drive
The MGH Bone Marrow Transplant Program, in conjunction
with the physician assistant students at Northeastern University, will
hold a bone marrow donor drive July 25, from 10 am to 3 pm in the Main
Lobby for anyone who would like to become part of the National Marrow
Donor Program's donor list. For more information, contact Deborah Yolin

HOPES seminars
The MGH HOPES (Helping Our Patients and Families through
Education and Support) program will offer several seminars and support
groups in July. Annabel Edwards, RN, will lead "Conversations about
Cancer Pain" July 7 at 11 am. "Fathers Dealing with Cancer"
support group will be held July 8 at 11 am, led by Steve Durant, EdD,
child psychologist. Oncology pharmacists and nurses will offer "Chemotherapy:
What You Should Know" July 9 at noon. Research nurses Eileen Regan,
RN, and Karleen Habin, RN, will lead "Clinical Trials ... What You
Should Know" July 10 at noon. "Ask the Dietitian," led
by Susan Landry, MS, oncology dietitian, will be held July 11 at 12:30
pm. All events will be held in the Cancer Resource Room on Cox 1. Seminars
and drop-in support groups are free, and no prior registration is required.

CRP hazmat training
The Clinical Research Program (CRP) and the MGH Safety
Office are sponsoring hazardous materials training for clinical research
personnel. The training session will be offered July 9, from noon to 1:30
pm in the Wellman 101 Conference Room. Kim Boleza, an MGH biosafety officer,
will provide the training. This class is valid for both initial and biannual

Brush up on computer training skills
Partners Information Systems Training now has released
the summer computer workshop training schedule for Microsoft Office applications.
Classes are available for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.

Bloodmobile at CNY
The MGH Bloodmobile will be at CNY Building 149 July 16 from 8:30 am to
2 pm. All donors will receive a T-shirt. To schedule an appointment to

Blood Donor Center sundae party
The MGH Blood Donor Center will offer free ice cream sundaes
July 7 to MGH employees who donate blood or platelets. Sundaes will be
