• MGH and BWH ranked among top hospitals in nation
  As Hotline goes to press, the MGH has learned that it again ranked third in U.S. News and World Report's annual honor roll of "America's Best Hospitals."

• Addressing the blood shortage: MGHers give gift of life
  Blood products are among the most important resources at the MGH, holding the power to alter and help save lives. However, it is becoming an increasingly precious commodity for clinicians and patients.

• Celebrating the annual Bowditch Prize
  The Nathaniel Bowditch Prize was created to recgonize both clinicians and nonclinicians who have made significant contributions to improving quality of care while reducing costs at the MGH.

• North End Community Health Center receives gift for its children's center
  Representatives from the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Urban Ministry paid a special visit to the North End Community Health Center June 29, presenting an endowment check for $110,000 to the day care center that is housed there.

• Ethics Support Program: Consultation with a simple phone call
  Beginning July 16, a subcommittee of the MGH Ethics Task Force is introducing an ethics support program, which will provide support to employees who encounter ethical questions or concerns.

• Memorial service
  A memorial service for Michelle Fiorentino, of MGH Cardiac Unit Associates, will be held July 23, from 4 to 6 pm in the Walcott Rooms.
