Representatives from the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Urban Ministry paid a special visit to the North End Community Health Center June 29, presenting an endowment check for $110,000 to the day care center that is housed there. The North End Children's Center will use the interest from the donation to run the daily operations of the facility, which has been a part of the North End Community Health Center since 1999. The North End Community Health Center became a part of the MGH in 2000.

At a special ceremony, UU Urban Ministry representatives Peter Coccoluto, acting executive director; James Staton, chief financial officer; and Oliver Ames, treasurer, presented the check to Tim Clifford, director of the North End Children's Center; Jim Luisi, executive director of the North End Community Health Center; and Elaine Wilson, a board member of the North End Community Health Center.
