Radiology equipment upgrade
Mass General Imaging in Charlestown will upgrade its clinical MRI magnet from July 19 through Aug. 1. It will not be operational during this time. The software upgrade will improve image quality and scan efficiency and is the second of three upgrades within the MGH system. During the upgrade in Charlestown, there will be sufficient capacity to handle patients at Mass General Imaging services in Chelsea, Waltham and at the main campus. The MRI magnet will return to operations Aug. 2. All MRI scheduling will remain the same. For more information, call Larry Quirk at (617) 726-8742.

MGH Police and Security as well as other outside law enforcement agencies treat unattended items as if they were explosive devices. MGHers are encouraged to report any suspicious packages to Police and Security by calling (617) 726-2121 for the main campus or (617) 726-5400 for CNY.
