In General Shahin Tabatabaei, MD, of MGH Urology, recently received the Pfizer's Scholarship in Urology Award. This award is given for outstanding clinical excellence by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Mia MacCollin, MD, of MGH Neurology, recently was honored as the teacher of the year for the MGH Pediatric Neurology residency program. MacCollin is the director of the Neurofibromatosis Clinic at the MGH. Kaveh Ashrafi, PhD, and Shahrooz Rabizadeh, PhD, both of MGH Molecular Biology, recently were awarded Runyon-Winchell postdoctoral fellowships, sponsored by the Cancer Research Fund of the Damon Runyon-Walter Winchell Foundation. The fellowship is awarded to outstanding young scientists conducting theoretical and experimental research that is relevant to the study of cancer and the search for cancer causes, mechanisms, therapies and prevention. The fellowships are for three years in the laboratories of the fellows' sponsors. |
