In preparation for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) visit to take place this fall, mandatory training sessions will be offered for infection control and fire safety. The infection control drop-in sessions will be held Aug. 4, from 9 to 9:30 am and Aug. 10, 1:30 to 2 pm. The fire safety sessions will be held Aug. 4, 9:30 to 10 am and Aug. 10, 2 to 2:30 pm. All sessions will take place at the Training Department, 185 Charles River Plaza, classroom 105. The JCAHO requires fire safety training for all employees and infection control training for all employees working in patient care areas. The Safety Office also offers monthly fire safety sessions at both the MGH main campus and CNY. For more information, call 726-2425.
