  • Three-year-old MGH patient recovers from summertime accident
It started as the usual summertime fun for 3-year-old Ruby Walls, her brother, sisters and cousins as they played at their home in Sudbury, Mass., July 27. However, the fun came to an end when Ruby's father, John Walls, found his daughter face down on the bottom of the family's pool. But thanks to the help of Ruby's older brother and father, she survived and made a remarkable recovery at the MGH.
  • The MGH backs nuclear pharmacy legislation
Legislators on Beacon Hill soon will decide whether certain patients across the state will benefit from a radioactive imaging agent manufactured at the MGH for the detection of some cancers and other diseases.
  • MGH "Flying Fish" program does swimmingly
Asthma is one of the leading reasons children below the age of 18 years are brought to emergency rooms on a daily basis. Kenan Haver, MD, an MGH pediatric pulmonologist, is helping kids learn to manage their asthma with "The Flying Fish," an asthma education and swimming program.
  • Room dedication
Grateful for the care he received at the MGH several years ago, Frank Green and his wife Tammy, of West Newbury, Mass., recently made a generous gift to the MGH Fund, the hospital's annual fund. With the gift came the opportunity to name Room 702 on the Ellison surgical floor.
