MGH Bowling League
The MGH Bowling League will begin its 53rd season
Sept. 6. Teams will meet every Thursday, 5:30 pm at the Ryan's Family Center
formerly known as the Kenmore Bowladrome in Kenmore Square. The league will run
until April and welcomes both casual participants and new members. For more information,

Roman Catholic Holy
Day of Obligation
The MGH Chaplaincy will observe the Feast of the
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Roman Catholic Holy Day of Obligation, Aug. 15. A
Mass in observation of the day will be held in the MGH Chapel at 11 am, in addition to the
regular Mass at 4 pm. The MGH Chapel is located on Ellison 1. For more information, call

North End community
service opportunities
The North
End Community Health Center has a variety of community service opportunities available
in several programs for children, adults, adolescents, elders and others who need
assistance. Opportunities include volunteering at the day care center, providing health
education at the teen clinic and conversing with Italian-speaking clients. One-time
opportunities through the center's outreach committee also are available. For more

Andrew Marzilli golf
tournament
MGH employees and friends are invited to participate
in the fourth annual Andrew Marzilli golf tournament, to be held at the Hillview Country
Club in North Reading, Mass., Sept. 17. Marzilli was a lifelong Revere resident and hockey
player who received a double lung transplant at the MGH before his death from cystic
fibrosis at the age of 19 in 1997. The golf tournament, established in his memory, raises
an average of $10,000 each year for the MGH Lung Transplant Program, the MGH Cystic
Fibrosis Research Fund and a scholarship fund at Malden Catholic High School. This year's

Complementary
medicine workshops for infertility
The MGH Vincent Memorial In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Unit is presenting a
free complementary medicine workshop for couples and individuals who are dealing with
infertility. "Psychospiritual Healing and Infertility" will be facilitated by
Robert McInnes, MD, of the IVF Unit. Three sessions will be held Aug. 15, 22 and 29, from
