"Wreath of Healing" adorns the
MGH Cancer Resource Room

Twice a cancer survivor, Janice Frishkopf, a volunteer for the MGH Network for Patients and Families, knows what hope and spirit are all about. Frishkopf is the designer of the "Wreath of Healing" poster that is being sold for $5 in the Cancer Resource Room on Cox 1. The wreath consists of some of the plants and flowers that are used to create chemotherapy agents that treat cancer. Proceeds from the posters' sales will help fund next year's Network for Patients and Families Cancer Survivor Conference.

Frishkopf has been involved with art almost her entire life. "Art reaches a wider audience than just cancer patients," says Frishkopf. "It was so wonderful to be able to produce the Wreath of Healing that touches so many people. I feel that I have become part of something that is much greater than myself."
