  • Workplace violence: Strategies for keeping the workplace safe
    Situations where potential violence can occur play out every day at places of employment all over the country. To combat the potential for violence at the MGH, however, MGH Police and Security has programs in place to help employees identify warning signs and handle situations that threaten violence.
  • Haddad to leave Partners for academia
    Ernest M. Haddad will be leaving his position as general counsel at the end of the year, after 21 years of service to Partners HealthCare and the MGH. He also served as secretary to both organizations. Haddad plans to return to a position at Boston University School of Law, where he served as a faculty member and dean from 1966 to 1971.
  • Construction progress
    Cranes and construction crews have been hard at work the last few weeks, demolishing the east wing of the Charles Street Jail to make way for the new ambulatory care building and underground garage.
  • MGH Chelsea helps Latin American Festival sparkle
    The MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center was among the sponsors of the annual Latin American Festival in Chelsea Aug. 3 through 5. MGH Chelsea employees were on hand to provide health care information, staff a first aid station, conduct blood pressure screenings and paint faces.
