  • Paperless payday pays off for MGH Radiology
While many employees look forward to getting their paychecks on payday, MGH Radiology staff look forward to accessing their paychecks online. With almost 1,000 employees, MGH Radiology is the largest department to go paperless with paychecks. The department was a pilot site this spring to test whether the option of not printing direct deposit advices the notices that employees who have direct deposit receive would work effectively for a large department with a wide range of employee role groups located in different areas of the hospital and off campus.
  • Giving platelets doesn't mean giving up time
While the MGH Blood Donor Center staff encourages MGH employees to donate
much-needed platelets, they recognize that busy schedules often leave little time for the two to two-and-a-half- hour donation process. To help ease the time crunch, the Blood Donor Center's E-chair a comfortable reclining leather chair with a connected laptop computer now is equipped with access to the Partners system.
  • A cause with heart
MGHers are ready to lace up their sneakers for a cause with heart. For several years the MGH has participated in the annual American Heart Association's (AHA) Boston Heart Walk, but this year the walk is the hospital's second official charity in addition to the United Way.
