MGH amateur photography contest
The MGH Photography Department is sponsoring the fourth annual MGH Amateur Photography Contest. All entries must be delivered by Sept. 3. Entry forms may be picked up at the MGH Photography Department in Bulfinch 045, at the CNY Parking offices and at all Security desks. For more information, call (617) 726-2237.

Partners Online Telephone Directory updates
MGHers and other Partners employees now may update their personal information in the Partners Online Telephone Directory. Telecommunications Department staff will be on hand to represent the MGH Telecommunications change team, Sept. 19 and 20, in the Main Corridor. Change team volunteers will be available from 7 to 9 am, 11:30 am to 1 pm and 3 to 5 pm. Employees are encouraged to stop by the team workstations to check their information and make necessary updates with the help of the volunteers.

The Clubs at Charles River Park to host luau
The Clubs at Charles River Park, the full-service health club adjacent to the MGH, will host a Hawaiian luau Aug. 31, from 7 to 10 pm. The poolside celebration will feature traditional Polynesian dishes, a tiki deck, a pig roast, tropical drinks, games and contests, a DJ and dancing. Tickets will be on sale through the day of the luau, at a cost of $35 for club members and all MGHers, and $45 for all others. Free peripheral vascular disease screening
The MGH will offer a free screening clinic for peripheral vascular disease (PVD) Sept. 20, from 9 am to 4 pm in the Vascular Radiology area on Gray/Bigelow 2. PVD is a condition in which the arteries carrying blood to the arms or legs become narrowed or clogged. Refreshments will be served. Making a Difference roundtable and grants
The MGH Making a Difference grant program has been funded for the 2001-2002 year, and will be accepting applications through Nov. 1. Jointly sponsored by the MGH and the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, the program supports employee initiatives to improve quality of service for patients, families and co-workers. A customer service roundtable discussing the grant program will be held Sept. 20, 10 to 11:30 am in the Wellman Conference Room. To register for the roundtable, call (617) 724-8098.
