Nominations for Partners in Excellence awards
Nomination forms for the 2000 Partners in Excellence awards will be available beginning Sept. 5. Individuals or teams who consistently go beyond the call of duty in quality treatment and service; leadership and innovation; teamwork; operational efficiency; or outstanding community contributions are eligible for nomination. To complete a nomination form, visit http://intranet.partners.org/pie/   Forms also may be obtained from managers and supervisors. Nominations are due by Sept. 27. Peripheral vascular disease screening
The MGH Vascular Radiology and Vascular Surgery departments will host a Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) leg screening Sept. 21, 9 am to 3 pm in the Burr 6 Conference Room. The screening will help determine risk for PVD. The screening is part of the Legs for Life National Screening Program, sponsored by the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. Charlestown cashier and payroll offices relocating
The CNY cashier and payroll offices will be moving Sept. 11 to Building 149, seventh floor. Telephone numbers will remain the same.

Nominations for Macaluso Award
Nominations now are being accepted for the Stephanie M. Macaluso, RN, Expertise in Clinical Practice Award, which recognizes direct care providers whose practice exemplifies the expert application of values reflected in the Patient Care Services vision. Recipients of the award will be selected in November. Nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, speech and language pathologists, social workers and chaplains are eligible. Nomination forms are available in each patient care area, in department offices and at the Gray Lobby information desk. Nominations are due by Sept. 29. Award recipients will receive $1,500 to be used toward a professional conference or course of their choosing. For more information, call 724-5801.

Security, Photography, and Commuter Services Fair
MGH Security, Photography, and Commuter Services staff members will showcase the programs and services they offer at a fair, Sept. 7, 11 am to 5 pm under the Bulfinch Tent. Information about bike safety, general personal safety and prevention will be available. There also will be drawings for prizes. Winning photographs of the third annual photography contest will be on display.

HOPES seminars
The MGH HOPES (Helping Our Patients and Families through Education and Support) program will present drop-in yoga on Thursdays, noon to 1 pm. "Home Care Options for Patients and Caregivers," facilitated by Beverly Hudson of MGH Hematology/Oncology, will be offered Sept. 12, noon to 1 pm. All seminars are held in the Cancer Resource Room on Cox 1. For more information, call the Cancer Resource Room at 724-1822 or the HOPES Program at 72-HOPES.

MS support group
The MGH/Spaulding Home Health Agency will offer a support group for patients and family members with multiple sclerosis Sept.18, 5:30 to 7 pm at the MGH Revere HealthCare Center, 300 Ocean Ave., Revere.
