The most recent poster in the FYI campaign is being distributed throughout the hospital this week. The goal of this poster is to offer MGHers important tips to help prepare for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) survey that will take place Sept. 18 to 22. This will be the last poster in the campaign before the survey. Preparation tips include:

• Respect patient confidentiality.
• Wear your ID badge.
• Comply with safety and security procedures.
• Review your role in a disaster.
• Respect diversity in culture, morals, values and beliefs.
• Properly secure and store medications.
• Involve the patient and family in care.
• Know what to do in case of a fire.
• Maintain your job-specific training and competencies.
• Relax, take your time in answering.
• And give it your best!
