Minority family health forum
The MGH will host a minority family health forum Sept. 21, from 2 to 4:30 pm in the
O'Keeffe Auditorium. MGH physicians, dietitians, residents and other health professionals
will discuss such topics as "Get Out of Your Chair," "A Healthy
Pregnancy" and "HIV/STDs." A reception will follow. Space is limited. For

Pulmonary
Hypertension Week
The MGH Pulmonary Hypertension Center will observe Pulmonary Hypertension Week beginning
Sept. 19. A table will be set up in the lobby throughout the day, and two patients
currently using ambulatory pumps for continuous IV therapy will be available to answer

Employee
Assistance Program seminar
The Employee
Assistance Program (EAP) will offer a two-part lunchtime seminar about breastfeeding.
Part I, "Nourishing Your Newborn," will be held Sept. 20, from 1 to 2 pm in VBK
401. Part II, "Working and Breastfeeding: Returning to Work and Maintaining Your Milk
Supply While Working," will be held Oct. 10, from 1 to 2 pm in VBK 401. Germaine
Lambergs, RN, an MGH lactation consultant, will provide information for expectant and new

Nominations
accepted for Macaluso Award
Nominations now are being accepted for the Stephanie M. Macaluso, RN, Expertise in
Clinical Practice Award. The award recognizes direct care providers throughout MGH Patient
Care Services who exemplify the values and expert caregiving embodied by the late
Stephanie M. Macaluso, RN. All MGH direct care providers are eligible. Each winner will
receive a $1,500 prize and will be acknowledged at a reception. Nomination forms may be
picked up in all patient care areas, in department offices and at the Gray Lobby
information desk. All nominations must be received by Oct. 5. For more information, call

Partners Responsible
Conduct of Research Program
The Partners Responsible Conduct of Research Program
will be held Oct. 29, 10 am to 4 pm in the Bornstein Amphitheater at BWH. The program is
designed to fulfill NIH ethics training requirements for all National Research Service
Award trainees receiving support from individual or institutional grants, fellowships or
other awards. Participants must attend the entire session to receive a certificate of
