MGH recognizes
third anniversary of Sept. 11
In the three years since the tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001, there have been
many remembrances created
books written, songs sung, monuments built. On the third anniversary of
that tragic day when the nation lost so many, MGHers gathered to remember,
grieve and recognize that historic day.
The memorial service, sponsored by the MGH Chaplaincy, gave MGHers, patients
and their families the opportunity to reflect on the tragedies. The ceremony
included chaplains from the many different faiths that are represented
throughout the MGH community, and included readings of poetry and prose,
as well as reflective music.
The service was teleconferenced to the MGH health centers and the Institute
of Health Professions, and a separate gathering was held at CNY.
