Kurt Isselbacher, MD, director of the MGH Cancer Center, welcomed physicians and scientists to a recent symposium entitled "Developmental Biology and Cancer," hosted by the MGH Cancer Center and sponsored by the Massachusetts Biomedical Research Corporation. The symposium explored how biological mechanisms involved in the normal development of an organism can cause cancer when they malfunction. More than 200 attendees participated in the symposium.
