Walk raises money for MGH Brain Tumor Center

Walkers came from several New England states recently to raise money for the MGH Brain Tumor Center at the first "Strides of Survival" walk in Newburyport, Mass. The pledges for the walk totaled $22,500 to benefit brain tumor research and services at the hospital. The walk was spearheaded by Kelly Shaw, an MGH patient who was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago. After surgery, radiation and chemotherapy treatment at the MGH, Shaw now is healthy and cancer-free.
