  • Schwartz Center celebrates its fourth anniversary
    With his sometimes whimsical, sometimes emotional music, singer and songwriter Livingston Taylor amused and impressed a capacity crowd at the fourth annual Schwartz Center dinner, held Oct. 19 at the Westin Hotel. Taylor, who along with Mitch Albom, author of Tuesdays with Morrie, entertained more than 1,200 friends and supporters of the center, which is dedicated to promoting and strengthening the relationship between patients and caregivers.
  • Physical Therapy prevention and education
    During the month of October, the MGH Physical Therapy Department hosted four events for National Physical Therapy Month to highlight physical therapy practices and educate MGHers about its work.
  • MGH Charlestown participates in citywide health van project
    The MGH Charlestown HealthCare Center recently participated in the inauguration of "The Health Connection," a citywide public health effort. The Boston Public Health Commission, in collaboration with Boston Community Health Centers and Hospitals, created the project to enhance public health education and outreach initiatives in Boston's neighborhoods by sending a mobile van to each community.
  • Toy store comes alive at the MGH
    Pediatric patients were all smiles during a visit by Curious George and his friends volunteers from the FAO Schwarz toy store on Ellison 17, Oct. 17. The volunteers brought remote-control cars, hula hoops, face painting and various other games and toys for about 25 pediatric patients.
  • In memoriam
    William (Billy) Aylward, of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 26. He was a member of the Partners Telecommunications Department.
