    Marisol Coreas, of the MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center, recently noticed many Somali Bantu refugee children from the Chelsea area wearing flip-flops to the health center in cold weather.

    In the spirit of unity and community building, the Patient Care Services DiversitySteering Committee, the Chaplaincy Department and MGH Muslim staff organized an Iftar dinner — the breaking of the fast during the holy month of Ramadan — Oct. 27.
  • PACE by the Numbers
    The implementation of a new outpatient registration and billing system called PATCOM at the end of January will mark the completion of PACE (Practice Administrative Cycle Enhancements) — a project that began in January 2002 to improve registration and referral processes.
  • MGH to develop tuberous sclerosis facility
    Through a generous $6 million contribution from Carol and James Herscot to the MGH, the hospital will create a new center benefiting children, adults and families touched by tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC).
  • Only one way to win — Give to United Way
    While the official MGH United Way campaign came to a close Nov. 5, pledges still are being accepted. This means MGHers can still win one of the weekly raffle prizes up until Nov. 19 when the grand prize raffle drawing will be held.
