of Care: Wellness for women at every age The MGH Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service and the MGH Womens Health Committee hosted a free womens health symposium Nov. 1. Panel speakers included Annekathryn Goodman, MD, associate director of MGH Gynecologic Oncology, who spoke about abnormal pap smears; Daniel B. Kopans, MD, director of MGH Breast Imaging, who spoke about breast cancer detection and diagnosis; and May Wakamatsu, MD, director of the Pelvic Floor Laboratory, who spoke about preventing and treating urinary tract infections and incontinence. The panel discussion was moderated by Isaac Schiff, MD, chief of the Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service. Judy Friend, chair of the Womens Health Committee, gave the introductory remarks. More than 70 women attended the symposium, which is offered twice a year for primary care patients. |
