  • Leadership meeting highlights preparedness and other hospital activities
    In a leadership meeting held Nov. 17, MGH supervisors, managers and department heads were briefed on a variety of hospital-related topics — including preparations to respond to possible incidences of smallpox, SARS and other emerging infectious diseases, the DRG Assurance Program, the budget and a construction update.

    urt Isselbacher, MD, has been a leader at the MGH for more than 45 years. The MGH auditorium at CNY recently was named in his honor at a special celebration
    following a scientific symposium that featured guest speakers Joe Goldstein, MD, Robert Weinberg, MD, Jean Wilson, MD, Rene Bernards, MD, and Dan Podolsky, MD.

  • VIVA Las Vegas: MGH physicians lead innovative conference
    MGH Cardiovascular Medicine and Vascular Surgery physicians recently played a leading role in a new and innovative continuing medical education course that allowed 600 clinicians from around the world to learn about the latest treatments in vascular disease.

  • A little pinch protects
    Flu season has arrived, and the MGH Senior HealthWISE Program coordinated five free community flu clinics Oct. 28 to 30 and Nov. 5 and 7 to help local seniors stay healthy this flu season.
  • Oh, the places you'll go
    Dr. Seuss' Cat in the Hat was the theme for the fourth annual Storybook Ball fundraiser, held Oct. 25 in two large tents on the Boston Common.
