Symposium on membrane biology
The MGH Program in Membrane Biology will present its third annual symposium Nov. 24, from 9 am to 5 pm, in the first floor conference room at CNY, Building 149. Speakers from the MGH, BWH, Tufts and Harvard Medical School will present. For more information, call Dennis Brown at (617) 726-5665.

Backup Child Care Center Vacation Club Camp
Reservations for the Backup Child Care Center's Winter School-Age Vacation Club Camp will be taken by phone Nov. 17, starting at 8 am. Payment is due in full Nov. 28 by 5 pm. The camp will be Dec. 21 to 26 and Dec. 29 to Jan 2, 7:30 am to 6 pm. For more information or to make a reservation, contact the center at (617) 724-7100.

Holiday resource table
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will offer a holiday resource table Dec. 4, from 11 am to 1 pm at the main entrance of the Eat Street Cafe. Information about how to deal with the stress of the holiday season will be provided. The information table also will be available at CNY, Building 149 Dec. 10, from noon to 2 pm in the atrium corridor. For more information, call the EAP at (617) 726-6976.

CRP seminar
The MGH Clinical Research Program and Partners Research Administration are sponsoring "Who Tells the IRB What to Do? The Effects of Regulations, Guidance and Case Law" Dec. 10, from 4 to 5 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. This presentation will include a brief description of the relevant laws followed by a discussion of how the interpretation and implementation of these laws have changed since HIPAA was enacted and changes in the conditions of grant awards. PCS holiday celebration
The MGH Patient Care Services (PCS) Diversity Committee will host its annual holiday celebration Dec. 11 in the Main Corridor. Information about winter celebrations around the world will be on display as well as a table for the traditional holiday giving for the families of HAVEN (Hospitals Helping Abuse and Violence End Now). Longwood Symphony Orchestra benefit concert
The Longwood Symphony Orchestra, Boston's orchestra of the medical community, will perform a concert benefiting Hospitality Homes Dec. 6. The concert will begin at 8 pm at Jordan Hall in Boston.
