  • A room with a view to the future
    While surgery without incisions is still the subject of science fiction, the MGH is stepping closer to other imminent surgical advances with the introduction of an "operating room of the future."
  • MGHers shop till they drop for a good cause
    MGHers got an early jump on their holiday shopping at the 10th annual FAO Schwarz Holiday Shopping Benefit Nov. 14. The benefit helps raise money for the Friends of the MGH Cancer Center.
  • Nesson award presented to MGH diabetes program
    The MGH Diabetes Primary Care Improvement Program received a Nesson Award for collaboration from Partners Community HealthCare, Inc. (PCHI) at the group's annual meeting in September. The award recognizes the hospital's multidisciplinary effort to apply innovative disease strategies to improve type 2 diabetes care.
  • Rewarding excellence in action
    While the MGH is known around the world for providing excellent patient care, it is the hard work and dedication of its employees and staff that support this mission. Many employees at all levels throughout the institution go above and beyond their everyday duties to ensure that every patient and visitor receives that highest standard of care and compassion. Now there is a program in place to help recognize those employees for their commitment to the MGH the Excellence in Action awards.
  • MGH Chelsea educates students about nutrition
    In an ongoing effort to support the good health of the community, MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center hosted a health and wellness event Nov. 14 at the Williams Middle School in Chelsea.
