New home for
Pediatric Cardiology Staff members of MassGeneral Hospital for Childrens Pediatric Cardiology unit recently hosted an open house to showcase their newly renovated clinic. Formerly located in the Echocardiography Lab on the fifth floor of the Vincent Burnham Kennedy (VBK) building, the clinic now is located in renovated space on VBK 6. One of the highlights of the new space is the special artwork displayed throughout the clinic. Michael De Moor, MD, chief of Pediatric Cardiology, explains that the MGH Ladies Visiting Committee donated funds to acquire the new artwork. Art consultants Sally Ourieff, MD, and Tica De Moor acquired a range of pieces including sculptures, oil paintings, childrens art, photo collages and fabric art based on their experience in child psychiatry and communication disorders in children. The aim is to provide an engaging, interesting and yet soothing environment for children, families and staff.
